Student Council is a group of elected students who campaigned for leadership roles within our school community. With the help of a mentor teacher, the student council at Saint Mary of the Hills School does everything in their power to organize donations, drives, and other fundraising opportunities in order to bring in funds and give back to our internal and external school community.
The funds that are raised are used for a variety of things including repairs to the school, new school equipment, new learning resources, and are put into scholarship funds for our graduating 8th grade class. Last year, we used some of the funds raised for new soccer nets, basketball hoops, and smart TVs for a better learning experience for our students. We have also expanded our ECC playground and have 3 brand new water filtration systems for our students to stay hydrated!
Student Council is a great extracurricular activity, since it allows students to learn and participate in the voting process, learn what it’s like to be in a leadership role, and allows students to give back to our community in a number of ways.
Student Council is extremely eager and excited to do even more for our school during the 2025 - 2026 school year!
