About the Garden

Danny's Garden is created in memory of Danny Campbell, honoring a family with deep roots at St. Mary of the Hills. Danny's grandmother, Mary Jane Campbell, served faithfully as the school secretary for over 20 years and has been a devoted parishioner for more than 50 years.

Danny had a special love for nature — especially bees — and that spirit inspired this garden as a place of beauty, growth, and joy. With the generous support of the Campbell family, this space will stand as a lasting tribute to Danny while enriching the lives of students for years to come.

We are grateful to The Friends of Danny G. Campbell, Inc. for providing the initial gift toward the creation of this space.

An Outdoor Classroom

This unique garden and classroom will give students a space to interact with the natural world through play-based, multi-sensory activities. Designed for students in Preschool through Grade 2, the space encourages learning across math, science, language arts, and art through a hands-on approach.

The curriculum used in Danny's Garden has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), ensuring the highest standards in early childhood education.
